2000 years of micro sea level changes on Captiva

From Kristie Anders:  I have some preliminary bits of info people may find interesting regarding the micro sea level shifts observed through archeology in Pine Island Sound. It correlates with the mini ice age and other events of the past 2000 years. On these islands where elevation is measured in inches, thought people might want to ponder Captiva has seen the seas higher and lower than today. I have been in touch with Dr. Karen Walker who mapped some the movement of the Calusas settlements using analysis of shells among other things. I am awaiting her permission to disseminate a few chapters of a book she co-authored with Dr. Bill Marquardt. The Calusa mounds she studied are 4 miles east by northeast from the Fish House.
